Merzouga 4x4 Excursion – Off-Road Adventure Through the Sahara

Our Merzouga 4×4 Excursion is a great way to see a different side of the Sahara, away from the main tourist routes. Instead of spending the whole day around the dunes, we take you by 4×4 into the desert to discover places that are difficult to reach on foot.

The trip starts with a drive through the Erg Chebbi desert, where you can enjoy the changing landscape and the wide open views. Along the way, we visit a nomad family living in the desert. You will have the chance to meet them, learn a little about their daily life, and see how people have adapted to living in such a remote part of Morocco.

Afterward, we continue off-road toward the old mining area, where the landscape becomes very different from the golden sand dunes. We also explore the Black Desert, known for its dark volcanic rocks and unusual scenery. It is a completely different side of Merzouga that many visitors do not get to see.

During the excursion, there is time to stop for photos, enjoy the quiet surroundings, and discover some of the hidden places around the dunes. Depending on the route and conditions, we may also visit small desert villages, natural viewpoints, and other lesser-known areas around Merzouga and Erg Chebbi.
