Merzouga 2-Day Camel Trek
Our Merzouga 2-Day Camel Trek takes you further into the Erg Chebbi dunes than a short sunset ride. You travel at the pace of the caravan, the way Berber nomads have crossed the Sahara for centuries, with a local camel guide who knows every dune.
Day 1 – Into the dunes
Meet our team in Merzouga in the afternoon and leave your luggage. Mount your camel and ride into the dunes as the light softens, with stops for photos. Watch the sunset from a high dune, then continue to our desert camp for mint tea, a traditional dinner, Berber drums around the campfire and a sky full of stars.
Day 2 – Sunrise and the trek back
Wake up early to climb a dune for sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast at the camp, ride back through a different part of the dunes, passing nomad tents and small oases, and return to Merzouga before midday.
